VAT Registration in the UK and EU for Online Sellers
We find out where you need to register, prepare the documents and file them with each tax authority.
If you store goods in another country, sell above the EU distance-selling threshold or import goods, you will usually need a local VAT number. Registering late can mean back-dated VAT, penalties and a suspended marketplace account.
Our local accountants check your sales flows, tell you exactly which countries you need, prepare the application and deal with any questions from the tax office until your VAT number is issued.
What is included
- Review of where you hold stock and where you sell
- Preparation of the application and supporting documents
- Translations and certified copies where the tax office requires them
- Follow-up with the tax authority until the VAT number is issued
- Fiscal representation where required
